II. Vocational training and Placement

The aim of training is to impart vocational skills to the clients that help them to become productive and to lead a contributory role in the family and the community. Vocational skills are taught by professional instructors, who assess the skills and interests of each resident and build the training programme based on the same. We also provided the placement facilities within the institution. Some of the favorite trainings for our residents are:

12 patients are engaged in the tailoring - knitting and embroidery unit, 5 in toys and fancy handbag making, 2 persons for glass painting, 5 persons are actively engaged in flower and bouquet making, 15 persons in candle making and 12 for cover making and 20 for bag making.

Agro centered vocational training

3 persons are part of the poultry farm, 3 for hatchery and aquaculture, 5 for piggery, 4 persons in cattle farm, 5 in agriculture, 3 in biogas, 2 for aerobic composting, 2 for vermiculture and 2 for the care of rabbit.

III. Health care

Our management functions effectively without any delays for health care and ensuring safety of patients. We try to improve the health of the inmates by effectiveness and efficiency of quality of health care.

Proper intake of medicine, balanced diet, proper guidance, meditation, yoga, therapies, individual attention and physical exercises help the patients to improve their mental health.


IV. Celebrations, Picnic and Relaxes

The institution celebrates various feasts and conducts picnic, arts, sports and games and other programmes for the patients.

Onam

We celebrate onam festival for a week in every year in a grand manner. We prepair 'Onapookalam' and serve onam 'sadhya' on 'Thiruvonam' day. Our neighbours also come and participate the celebration with inmates here.It provides opportunities for patients to intract with community outside. Three day exhibition of the paintings and other handycrafts made by the patients provides opportunities to the people for the enjoyment and relaxation to their visits

Annual Day

Every year annual day, known as home day is celebrate together with onam celebrations. On the occasion programs like orchestra, dance and cultural activities are conduct both by the innmates and local people. Prizes for the winners of arts, cultural and sports competition conducted in connection with Onam celebrations are awarded during the public meeting of the annual day.

Independence Day

Every year we celebrate independence day on 15th of August. All inmates participate's in the flag hosting and sing the national anthem. Sweets are distributed in the gathering.

World Mental Health day

we celebrate world mental health day every year on october 10th in every special way.On the occasion we conduct seminar and workshop for the parents and the caretakers of patients of this institution .Thereafter the inmates perform cultural programs for their parents, gurdians and all gatherd here.

Annual Picnic

Every year we conduct annual picnic to diffrent places. The patients enjoy the trip very much to their mental happiness.
