	Welcome to St. Joseph Mental Health Care

St. Joseph’s Old Age Home is a residential home for the aged women, homeless, sick, Mentally and physically ill etc., from anywhere India. There in no conditions for the admission here but discriminated, aged ladies and those have no caretakers will be admitted. The doors are opened always to all those ladies who have no shelter. We, the Director, Asst. Director, Rev. Sisters and other volunteers stay here and take care for them. St Joseph’s home cannot look which cast, creed and religion they belong. St.Joseph old age Home is intended only for the aged women. This institution started in 1972 at this site Pullazhy as an annex of St. Ann’s aged home run by the same management, the Archdiocese of Trichur since 90 years. The motherhouse, St. Ann’s house is 4 Kmts away from this site. Pullazhy is 7 Kmts away from Thrissur the central district of Kerala. This is a village named Pullazhy and the people around are mainly agriculturists and surrounded by their paddy fields and coconut trees. This institution is administered by the catholic archdiocese of Trichur, one of the ancient dioceses and famous for the institutions for the poor and marginalized

As a part of assisting the discriminated aged women we also started a Day Care home in this compound. The infrastructure of the Day Care is furnished by the Rotary club members with the help of the Director and other caretakers of this institution. We try to look after the poor and needy twenty grand parents who live in this village.

The grandparents are the inevitable treasure of this era. So we have to take care for them. Old age is the law of nature and according to Shakespeare, the great dramatist, old age is the second childhood and one and last of the seven one act plays of life. This institution helps them to face the old age courageously and gives support and comfort to the most needy in the society. It tries to give opportunities to remember their early and fruitful healthy lifetime. It gives chances to the dependants to become non-dependant by empowering and strengthening. We give nutrition and medicine for good health
